The AMET Arc Voltage Control system (model XMS-VC) consists of an XM control module, loaded
with AVC software, a slide assembly (fitted with servo motor, encoder and AVC interface board) and an operators pendant with digital readout. Interconnection cables between control, slide and hand pendant are included.

Cold Wire Feeders

The AMET Cold Wire Feeder system (model XMS – WF) uses a single DSP based XM control module to monitor and correct the wire feed as required.
 
The standard system comprises of an XM module, 4 roll wire feeder mechanism, fitted with servo motor and encoder, an operators pendant with digital readout, basic manual adjustment wire positioner, spool holder/cover and interconnection cables.

  • Wire Diameter Range: 0.6 to 3.2 mm (requires a specific kit for each diameter)
  • Feed Rate: 25 to 12,700 mm/min
  • Start and stop delays
  • Wire Retract:  0 to 25 mm
  • Pulse wire capability:  0 to 5 pulses per second

The AMET Hot Wire Feeder system (model XMS-HWF) uses a single DSP based XM control module to monitor and correct the hot wire voltage and wire feed rate as required.
 
The standard system comprises of an XM module, AC Hot Wire power source, 4 roll wire feeder mechanism, fitted with servo motor and encoder, an operators pendant with digital readout, basic manual adjustment wire positioner and hot wire contact assembly, spool holder/cover and interconnection cables.

  • AC Frequency:  Programmable from 50 to 300 Hz
  • Hot/Cold feed selection: Programmable
  • Wire Diameter Range: 1.0 to 1.6 mm

Oscillators

The AMET mechanical and Magnetic Arc Oscillators, (models XMS-OSC and XMX - MAG) use a single DSP based XM control module to monitor, control and change the oscillation as required.
 
The XMS-OSC comprises of an XM module, sealed slide assembly fitted with servomotor and encoder feedback, an operator’s pendant with digital readout and interconnecting cables.
 
The XMS-MAG comprises of an XM module, a single tip probe, an operator’s pendant with digital readout and interconnecting cables.

XMX-OSC

  • Standard and heavy duty versions available (Standard - 14 Kg capacity, HD – 65 Kg capacity)
  • Stroke -50 mm (other strokes available up to 480 mm)
  • Oscillation speeds up to 2500 mm/min
  • Independent left and right dwell settings
  • Programmable start and stop delay
  • Auto centre at weld end

XMS-MAG

  • Oscillation Amplitude: 0 to 100% (approx 2 times arc length)
  • Frequency: 0 to 3 seconds
